Bogus or Authentic?
Too often we hear of applicants who were ripped off by bogus liquor license consultants. It can result in severe financial and emotional hardship for the applicant.
You can prevent such an experience by checking the credentials of the Liquor License Consultant of your choice by:
•Investigate the quality and contents of the consultant’s website.
•From the cc or Pty registration number you can see when the consultant registered and started trading. The first four figures are the year the cc or Pty was registered.
•On the CIPC website you can see if the cc or Pty is still registered or de-registered. This helps to trace the consultant.
•Find out if the consultant is working from his house or does the consultant have a traceable office.
•Ask for references and phone them.
